Implant Treatment

Implant Treatment

They are titanium screws applied to replace lost teeth. Implants placed in the jawbone fuse with the bone after a certain healing period and provide the highest level of function and aesthetics with the prosthetic restoration to be made on it.

Implant treatment does not require any intervention to the patient's natural teeth. In the treatment of lost teeth with implants, no abrasion from other teeth is required. Another advantage of implant treatments is that they offer the opportunity to use fixed teeth again for patients who have to use removable dentures due to the loss of many teeth or due to the loss of all teeth. Dental implants, which offer a much more effective chewing ability and aesthetic properties compared to removable prostheses, significantly increase the quality of life of patients.

1.  Can anyone have implants?

The structure of the jawbone plays a major role in implant treatment. Implant treatment can be easily applied to elderly individuals with healthy jawbones. In patients whose jawbone is not sufficient, additional operations can be performed to increase the amount of bone before or during implant treatment in order to create sufficient jawbone.

2.  Is implant treatment painful?

Implant treatment is a painless procedure performed under local anesthesia. If the physician's recommendations are followed in the post-implant process, the patient can continue his daily life. Contrary to popular belief, a painful process is not observed.

3.  How long does implant treatment take?

After the implants are applied to the jawbone, a period of fusion with the bone is generally expected for 2.5 months. Afterwards, following the gingival shaping process, the patient's teeth on the implant are prepared.
